We are about to move to our new home soon, Yep… that’s right ☺ I am so excited and overwhelmed at the same time by all the work that lies ahead but mostly grateful to continue the next chapter of our family’s story!!! And in between all this planning, organising and packing things up into boxes, I managed to find some time to sneak in a bit of card making – Therapy time for me! 😊

This is how I made it.

I used Papermania’s white card stock 5”x7″ (300gsm) and added on top a watercolour (peerless & distress ink) painted sky background on the Aquafine smooth watercolour paper to frame my centrepiece die-cuts, which were a Giraffe, balloon and buntings, all die-cut from the same Aquafine paper except the Giraffe, using my trusty Big shot machine and had watercolour them before assembling it together.

I used neon orange coloured paper for giraffe and a matte gold for his nose. I die cut the Happy sentiment from the same matte gold paper and Birthday with some black coloured card stock. Glued the scene together using adhesive foam, onto my watercoloured sky and mounted it on top of the 5”x7” Card.

Finally I lined up the Happy sentiment with Birthday and glued it all together.

A cute and simple birthday card and I hope it inspires you today.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
