When it comes to Art, the thoughts and imagination runs wild, there are no ‘wrongs or rights’ to do it. Every piece is unique and express the soul of the artist and a story of the artist inspiration!

My art piece today is inspired by one of a new addition to our family….. A gorgeous Baby Boy with such beautiful smile and engaging Eyes!

Congratulations to the Mum and Dad! So happy for you!

Here is how I have done it.

I used a polka dot pattern paper “Sail Away” by Jessica Hogarth Design for my background and the die cuts embellishments. Beautiful fabric textured paper!

To create the sky, I applied Tim holtz distress ink in “broken china” & “peacock feathers” my favourite colours for skies and “shabby shutters” for the green grass, with a sponge.
To get clouds and grass patches I water sprayed that ink background lightly in rather big spots and then dried it with my heat gun.

Next I applied a second generation stamping with one of Bo bunny stamps set of “musical notes” to create shadows in the sky. Used the same stamp set for the grass shadows and a gel pen to arrange the white and green flowers in the background.

To set the scene I have added baby rompers, and a pair of baby pants on the clothesline out of the same pattern paper, by using Sizzix big shot with Docraft Xcut baby icons Die set. My favourite die set to use for baby cards.
To finish I have added a house cut by the same pattern paper with orange paper windows and a big orange congratulations by using a Congratulations die from Cottagecutz over a beautiful landscape die by Memory Box.

I improvised a border die to make the clothesline.

This card can be displayed in an Ikea Ribba frame 23x23cm as a cute addition to a nursery wall!
So here I am with my another love affair with art!
